IPTV Signal
Last updated: August 6, 2026
This policy explains what information IPTV Signal (the "App"), built by Crytek LLC ("we," "us," "our"), accesses, stores, and shares. We've written it to describe exactly what the App does — not a generic template.
In short: IPTV Signal does not operate any backend servers of its own, does not collect your personal information, and does not transmit your saved playlists, credentials, or viewing activity anywhere. Everything you enter into "My Service" stays encrypted on your device.
What the App stores, and where
The App stores a small amount of data locally on your device, using your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore via expo-secure-store). This data is never uploaded to us or to any third party we operate.
| Data | Purpose | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|
| Saved playlist connections (M3U URLs, or Xtream Codes host/username/password) | So you don't have to re-enter your provider's details each time you open the App | Encrypted, on-device only |
| Favorited channels/movies/series | To power the "Favorites" list | Encrypted, on-device only |
| Trial start date | To track your 14-day free trial | Encrypted, on-device only |
| Theme and view preferences (dark/light, grid/list) | To remember your display preferences | Encrypted, on-device only |
We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, this data is removed along with it (except where noted under Device Identifier below).
Device Identifier
The App reads a platform identifier that is not your device's MAC address — modern iOS and Android block apps from accessing that. Instead, we use each platform's official app-scoped identifier:
- Android: Android ID (
Settings.Secure.ANDROID_ID) - iOS: Identifier for Vendor (
identifierForVendor)
This identifier is used solely to prevent the 14-day free trial from being reset by reinstalling the App. It is stored locally and is not transmitted to us or to any analytics or advertising service.
Third-party services the App uses
The App connects to a small number of third-party services, each described below:
- Your own IPTV provider (under "My Service"): when you enter an M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials, the App connects directly from your device to the server you specify. We do not see, log, or store this traffic — it never passes through servers we control, because we don't operate any.
- iptv-org (under "Browse"): the App fetches a public, open-source catalog of freely broadcast channels from iptv-org's public repository. No account or personal data is involved.
- RevenueCat: used to process the one-time $4.99 lifetime purchase and to verify your entitlement after the trial period. RevenueCat receives your device's app-store purchase receipt (via Apple/Google) to validate the transaction. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play: handle the purchase transaction itself. We do not receive your payment details — only confirmation of a successful purchase, via RevenueCat.
What we don't do
- We don't run advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across apps or websites.
- We don't sell or share your data with data brokers.
- We don't require an account or ask for your name, email, or contact details to use the App.
- We don't have visibility into what channels, movies, or series you watch through "My Service" — that connection is between your device and your own provider.
Children's privacy
IPTV Signal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. The App itself collects no personal information from any user, regardless of age.
Your choices
- You can delete any saved playlist or favorite at any time from within the App.
- Uninstalling the App removes locally stored playlists, favorites, and preferences from your device.
- You can restore a previous purchase via Settings → Restore Purchases if you reinstall the App or switch devices under the same app-store account.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
